Here’s a little preview of something we’re working on at the moment – a modification of a european lock in the French embassy.

I really love my job as Tech Support and the fact that I get to talk to a lot of you makes it even better. It’s our conversations that push me to know about each and every product we carry very intimately – ha. So I wanted to talk a little about the PM/PWM technology.

There seems to be questions about that product line all too often. So here’s a list of the most frequently asked questions:
Q1. Can I use this power module on any panic device?
A1. An application chart is available on our website. Click here to view.
Q2. Can I use this power module with any power supply?
A2. Must be used with a 24VDC regulated power supply.
Q3. The unit is plugged in, but not operating. Is it broken?
A3. Most likely it’s not broken. The PM/PWM unit is polarity sensitive; switch Red and Black wires.
Q4. The PM unit fires, but does not hold. Why is it doing that?
A4. The solenoid may be out of adjustment or if in use with a rod device application, the rod may be bottoming out before the solenoid is seated.
I’ll do my best to have more questions & answers in each and every email newsletter. Thanks for dropping by and feel free to leave a comment or question below and I’ll reply as soon as I see it.
